we found out today that i'm now 2 cm dilated (which is still a bit more than i expected, but not much), BUT, the big thing is that i'm now 70-80% effaced... meaning my cervix is almost nonexistent! ALSO, upon examining me, the doctor was amazed at how low Layla's head is. We scheduled my next appointment for next week, but the doctor said she wouldn't be surprised if I went into labor before that appointment

So i'm somewhere in between laughing hysterically and completely freaking out.

But in a good way.

I've had our bags packed for weeks,

but today just made it all a bit more real :)
